She was born in California, Santa Monica on 26 November 1986. She is the daughter of Vincenzo Barba, her father and Valerie Barba. She was just six when she left her family relocated into Point Pleasant New Jersey. She completed her education at Red Bank Catholic High School, New Jersey. After that, she went to Catholic University and graduated with the degree of a bachelor in architecture. Her first violin lessons began when she was four years old, and she was known by the name Violin Girl. Her name was often used to refer to her first name because of the performances she gave. She gave violin lessons for children from the neighborhood. For the sixth season of American Idol, she sang Free in 1976 aged just 19. But she was eliminated following getting to 16th place on the show. The singer has performed a variety of songs, including 'The Christmas Song 2009' and 'Out to Blood in 2010'.
