Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian as well as Swiss as well as her mother is English. She grew up in the south of a London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was awarded. She performed in various performances on stage during her time at school, including the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe got her start in acting by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. She has appeared as an actor in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. After the film's success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha in her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared for six seasons Trexx and Flipside. In the ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe played the lead role for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy made in 2008. Her theatre credits comprise Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe officially made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was then cancelled. She was cast in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was announced in May 2013. After a period of two years as the main character she was a guest in the opening episode of season 3. On the show Salem in 2014, she portrayed Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe got married to her long-time love, Iddo. The two have collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he was also on the show with Madekwe on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in an extended family. She was the daughter of Patty and Roy Leggat. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings - Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey in the winter as well as in the summer. She grew up in the arenas and baseball. Ashley was not a walker, but she was a dancer. In the age of two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance from that moment. Ashley was a professional dancer across all major divisions up until her graduation from high school. She was a competitor in jazz, tap, ballet, pointe and the acrobatics. The big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the honor of "top soloist".
