Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the teenager age. She was a boxer, fighter in kickboxing wrestling, BJJ, and other sports before making her debut as an amateur at the age of 18 at WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd continued to build on her victory at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She dominated all her competitors in the initial round. Ladd returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen by unanimous decision. This put a stain on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd recovered from this loss to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and beat her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw Aspen move up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen was dominant McGill in her wrestling, and finished her off in the third round TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing weight catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd was unable to reach her weight. However, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. The fight was won via TKO in the second-round. In her last bout for the promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks via unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. In Aspen's UFC debut took place on UFC Fight Night 118 when she was up against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina and ground-and-pounded her in the second round to secure a TKO victory. She continued to dominate and won a dazzling victory during her next fight against Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd won over Evinger within the first minute and was awarded a prize for her performance during the night. Her first major fight came with her next bout at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Both the fighters put on an intense battle that concluded with Ladd taking a unanimous win and both fighters getting the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak within less than 16 seconds. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya at UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The UFC Fight Night 195 fight was decided unanimously in her favor.
