Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports around the time of 14. Aspen Laddd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her amateur debut at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and subsequently went on a 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round of all fights. After that she fought at WCFC for the second time and defeated Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia is superior to Aspen, and beat Cynthia by a majority vote. Cynthia's amateur records were marred. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to make her professional d but. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first match as a Bantamweight. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar submission in the second round. Aspen was dominant McGill in her wrestling, to finish her off with the third round with a TKO. Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She took on Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd didn't make an appearance at the weigh-in. Aspen still dominated Hoy and eventually defeated her via a TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her last event for the company. She defeated Sijara Ebanks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 with Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina with a ground-and-pound strategy to win by TKO during the second round. The dominance of her continued, and she was able to win a thrilling fight in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd was able to beat Evinger to the punch in the initial round, and was awarded a Performance of the Night prize.
